ok. I give up.... whats LMAO? As for ingine revs..... the ingines werent religious so they dont have Revs. As for engine revs.... change up just before it stops pulling hard (the motor, not you). And yes an aftermarket exhuast will help..... alienate non riders. Quiet bikes save rides!

Most appropriate good sir. A lot more polite than what I was considering replying. I used to be a noob (as they call us around here) but I seem to have lost an o!

A rev counter might be more useful? I actually found the quiet exhaust relaxing, one of the only bikes I don't have to use earplugs with.

i shortned my 2010 570 fe muffler by 3 inches. it gave it a nice bark when i crack it but its still nice and quiet at idle. it gave it a ridculous amount of bottom end snap so i had to go up to a 14 tooth sprocket on the front to mellow it out a bit. im lovin it now!

What I find interesting on my 570 is that there is so much useable power there, you can kind of do anything you want with switching gears. You can short shift this bike whenever you want, or rev it out. It seems to run crisp all the time, and will just deal with just about whatever gear you're in at that time(within reason...). So it seems to me that hearing the revs isn't as big a deal as it is with many other bikes.
