General
The intention of this Owner's Doc is to create a reference book storing useful and approved information for sucessful riding and racing a Husaberg.
It's is powered by MediaWiki. For more detailed information on how this Wiki works, it's usage and configuration, please see the MediaWiki User's Guide.
Note: Although most of the basic MediaWiki functions are included in the Owner's Doc we did some "adjustments" to meet the UHE reqirements.
Differences to the standard MediaWiki
The most significant differences to the standard MediaWiki engine are described here.
User rights
Four user groups with different privileges are available at the Owner's Doc.
Anonymous users can view pages only. Nothing can added to a page. To track page changes the history tab is available. No user preferences can be set.
Logged in users have the same limitied rights as anonymous users. In addition they can use the watch tab to create a watchlist. This enables them to keep track of changes on their favourite pages. Also the user preferences function is available.
Bureaucrat users can edit or add pages and use all the functions mentioned above. Special pages are available but Bureaucrats have no access to the user group management.
Sysops can fully control the Owner's Doc like edit, move or delete pages. They also manage the user groups to set user rights.
Special pages
They are available to Bureaucrats only.
Talk and discussion pages
Although they are included in the MediaWiki there is no need to use the pages of the Owners Doc. Thoughts and ideas should be shared and discussed with the UHE community instead and the forum there is a perfect place to do.
How to contribute to the Owner's Doc
As mentioned above the Owner's Doc is a compilation of useful and approved information for sucessful riding and racing a Husaberg. The Wiki concept offers the chance for the UHE members to share their experiences and make the Doc an extensive reference book. That's pretentious of course. So if you are an experienced Husaberg rider, racer or mechanic you should become an Owner's Doc Bureaucrat and support the project.
To become a Bureaucrat you have to:
- Create an Owner's Doc account using your UHE nickname for username. Using your UHE nickname is important because for all internal comunications concernig Owner's Doc issues the UHE private messages system is used.
- Once you created an account your name should appear in the Owner's Doc Users List without the Bureaucrat title. You may request Bureaucrat rights by sending a UHE private message to one of the Sysops listed in the Owner's Doc Users List.
